Course Goal: To teach the intermediate level Knowledge, Skills, and Attitude necessary for the safe and proper use of a shotgun in defensive shooting.
Overview: This course builds upon the Shotguns for Home Defense I course. You will shoot a minimum of 5 slugs, 5 buckshot rounds, and 100 birdshot shells as you review mounting, follow-through, reloading, shooting and moving, and multiple target engagements. You will learn how to use a sling and accessories such as a light. You will shoot from cover and concealment, enter doorways and clear corners. You will learn how to fight with your shotgun without shooting. This is a local course, not an NRA Shotgun course.
Course Length: 6+ hours, depending on number of students and skill levels.
Prerequisites: Must be 18 years old or older. Successful completion of Shotguns for Home Defense I or acceptable equivalent
