The Tioga County Sportsmen’s Association (TCSA) has been authorized to teach the NYS Pistol Permit Education Class which is required before anyone in NY State can be issued a Concealed Carry Pistol Permit.
Our authorization is valid for Tioga, Chemung, Tompkins, Monroe, Cortland, and Broome Counties.
Currently it is our intention to conduct a class monthly. Minimum attendance is 6 people, the maximum is 12. This rational takes into consideration time, effort, safety, and personal involvement for the attendees.
The fee for the class is $300.00 This includes all that one needs to complete the class (firearms, ammunition, training books, and lunch).
As directed by NYS the class is required to have 16 hours of classroom, with a written exam that requires 90% to pass. Plus, two hours of hands-on live fire exercises with a qualification for proficiency. Both requirements are reasonably easy to accomplish.

TCSA is providing our approved NYS Concealed Carry Course, (16 hrs + 2)
The weekend course runs 8:00am to 5:00pm.
